I’m a big fan of WordPress as the publication platform of choice for blogs. I host two pilot WordPress communities on the web: Litcircuits, and theclassroo.ms. If you are unfamiliar with WordPress, you can set up an account in minutes at wordpress.com. I’ve included a tutorial from wordpress.tv that explains the basics of publication. I would suggest checking out this site for further tutorials once you have your blog up and running.
